The Vanished Days Arrives in Audio

by | Oct 29, 2021

If you’ve been waiting for the release of the audiobook of The Vanished Days in the USA, then wait no longer! Today’s the day!

I’ve found links for you from Audiobooks.com where you can listen to a sample of the opening pages, and from Audible.com where you can listen to a sample from a little later in the story.

The narration is brilliantly done by the multi-talented Robert Ian Mackenzie, who may be familiar to some of you as the narrator of Alexander McCall Smith’s 44 Scotland Street Series, and who also narrated Diana Gabaldon’s novella A Leaf on the Wind of All Hallows.

Audiofile magazine did a spotlight profile of him in which he said, of narration: “I love doing it–it’s actually one of the most fulfilling things for an actor, to do the production from beginning to end. You’re in charge of the casting, you come up with all of the voices. It’s your little world that you create.” You can read the full interview here.

And do visit his website to learn more about him, his life and his various projects.

I’m so very happy to finally be able to share this with you. Hope you like it.

If you enjoy audiobooks, what is it about them that you like the best? Who are your favourite narrators?
